How to Apply Your Colour Matched Silicone Sealant
- Prepare the surface: Ensure the area is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and any old sealant.
- Prepare the cartridge: Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to suit the width of the joint. Fit the cartridge into a standard sealant gun.
- Apply the sealant: Apply a steady, even bead along the joint, maintaining consistent pressure.
- Smooth the finish: Use a suitable sealant finishing tool to smooth the bead and remove excess sealant.
- Allow to cure: Leave the sealant undisturbed and follow the manufacturer's recommended curing time before exposing it to water.
Tip: Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first to check the colour and finish. The appearance may vary slightly depending on the surrounding material and lighting.
